8 Hour Traffic Survival Workshop Level 1

NTSI Traffic Survival Workshop (Level 1) contains the most current information on defensive driving, collision avoidance, and the dangers of alcohol and drugs. The program fulfills the 8-hour traffic school requirement for the driver cited for minor traffic violations. NTSI is a DMV-licensed traffic violator school.

The Traffic Survival Workshop Level I is designed for the individual who is attending the program on a volunteer basis:

• If you are age 18 or older, you may be awarded five safe driving points after you successfully complete a driver improvement clinic.
• If a court requires you to complete a clinic, the court determines if you will be awarded safe driving points.
• As an employer requirement.
• Insurance Discount: Check with your agent to see if your insurance company offers this benefit. If you take a driver improvement clinic to reduce your insurance premium, you will not be eligible to receive safe driving points. If a court assigns you to complete a clinic, you will not be eligible to receive the insurance premium reduction.

How Our Training Works

Our program is very simple. It is designed to accommodate the expert and the novice Internet user. You may log onto our web site, "Register Online" and enroll on-line. Or, you may call us and register in just minutes on the telephone and begin immediately!

Access

When you register, you choose your own password and login ID to gain immediate access to the program.

Important Notices

If you are under age 20, you are not eligible to take a computer-based driver improvement course. To satisfy a DMV requirement, you must satisfactorily complete a driver improvement clinic that provides classroom instruction.

Taking the Course

The course is divided into modules. At the end of each module, there are simple review questions. Once you read through the materials and answer and submit the review questions, you will then be ready to take your final exam by going to a testing center. If you take the test via a computer, the computer will grade the test for you and you will know immediately if you have passed. You need to get 80% or more correct to pass. Upon successful completion, you will have immediate access to your original certificate. The cost includes the entire program and the certificate — NO HIDDEN FEES. If you do not pass, you will be able to retake our program the following day for a small fee of $6.00.

You may only take the final test one time per day

Features

We created our program to be as convenient as possible for the student. It is designed as an eight (8) hour program, but you work at your own pace. You may complete the program in one sitting or use your login ID and password many times and complete the reading in increments of time, according to your own schedule. The goal is for you to comprehend and absorb the material. Be sure to submit your answers within 4-5 days prior to your completion due date so we can deliver the certificate to you on time. If the certificate must be rushed, a "rush fee" may apply. At any rate, we can complete your certificate within a couple hours notice, if necessary! Commercial Drivers License Course (CDL), 8 hours
(classroom only)

Commercial Driver Improvement Clinics are designed specifically for drivers who hold commercial driver's licenses (CDL) or who commit an offense while operating a commercial motor vehicle. We are certified by DMV to award up to five safe driving points to individuals who successfully complete an eight-hour state-approved commercial driver improvement course. An individual may volunteer or be required by DMV or a court to attend a clinic. Companies may also send their employees to a clinic for training on safe driving.

Youth Tobacco Awareness, 4 Hours

Acquaints seminar attendees to the dangers of tobacco use to their health and the health of others, recognize the cost of their habit and discover ways to abstain from further use. –violators of tobacco possession may be required by juvenile court to attend an anti-tobacco program.

Aggressive Driver Course, 8 Hours

The Aggression Suppression Seminar was developed for the individual who has received several traffic violations in a short period of time, been identified by law enforcement as an aggressive driver and/or is a habitual traffic offender. The seminar is usually part of a court judgment.

Life Skills/Civic Responsibility, 4 Hours

If you hold a commercial driver's license (CDL) or committed an offense while operating a commercial motor vehicle, and you are required to attend a driver improvement clinic, you must satisfactorily complete a commercial driver improvement clinic designed specifically for commercial drivers.
